Reports to: Professional Services Manager
Implement, install, repair, maintain, test, proof or adjust as needed all fiber optic cabling and related infrastructure in accordance with established customer procedures and policies. To ensure maximum quality, peak performance, and reliability of all fiber optic cabling within a data center environment. Responsibility for all connectivity auditing and documentation related to fiber optic infrastructure.
Adhere to DCS standards for customer facility installs. This person will be responsible for sites as assigned this may include remote sites. This position reports to the Professional Services Manager.
Under the direction of the Professional Services Manager (for AT&T) or the Technical Solutions Manager (for Verizon), this position may direct the various facilities technician’s performance of duties on projects.

A minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of (36) thirty-six months of related experience and/or training preferred. Experience leading multiple technicians over multiple projects is required. Experience within a data center is required.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex project documents. Ability to apply DCS installation standards and project tracking/management documents. Ability to effectively respond, verbally or written, to sensitive issues, complex inquiries, or complaints. Ability to make effective presentations and respond to questions from customers and managers. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service, whether coworkers or clients.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences. Requires good organizational skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures. Experience with Visio and all MS Office software applications a plus.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting and meeting work unit and/or project deadlines.
Working conditions are normal for a data center environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
